The Laboratory for Animal Production and Animal Product Quality, Department of Animal Production of Ghent University, Belgium is offering a 10 week International Training Program in Dairy Nutrition.
Our main objective and approach is to ‘train the trainer’ in technological aspects of dairy nutrition.
Particularly, quantitative tools will be offered to allow integration of different topics addressed. Tools and technology knowledge can be transferred to colleagues in their home countries to reach a higher income level with more healthy products in higher quantities.
This training program focuses on dairy nutrition and its relation with animal productive and reproductive performance as well as milk composition and quality. With this training program we hope to contribute to the generation, distribution and use of ‘knowhow’ on dairy nutrition based on locally available feedstuffs, and consequently to a more sustainable rural and overall economic development with this training program.
